  POST-WORKING — Sofia Silvestrini — Cordes Vocales

  Friday, 18 December 2026 at 19:00

The project explores a third expressive dimension between the chamber duo (voice and guitar as separate entities) and the pop/rock singer-songwriter, proposing the fusion of voice and instrument into a single integrated entity performed by one musician. Through existing works and new commissions from contemporary composers, the research uses the voice, vocal sounds and gestures as timbral and expressive extensions of the classical guitar. The main goal is to move beyond genre boundaries, offer new technical and expressive challenges to the guitarist, and renew this figure within contemporary classical music.
